Jiē shàng dǎsǎo de gōngrén 街上打掃的工人 (Street Sweeper)

It was a dark and brooding day when we set about exploring some of Xi-An’s imposing 14th century city wall and fortifications which luckily for us the weather was keeping the masses away. We could almost place ourselves back during the Ming dynasty looking over some of this magnificently kept keep. Our street sweeper could well have been part of this time travel placement with his straw broom, if not for his plastic overcoat. Below are some more pictures of this magnificent city wall.
